Falcor Base

Okay, I've been without a computer for nearly a month--in the mean time, I did three drawings that I've only just now been able to scan, and this is the first to be finished--next two to come shortly, I hope.

Anyway, welcome to the drawing that nearly killed me. Those wings, OMG--I think I had at least two Stephen King mini-series' playing, followed by Thinner, while I only pencilled them ... then I stopped keeping track of how long it was taking. After that, I took a second look at the reference diagram I had been looking at and realized that it showed the BACK of the wing, so I had to go and correct how the feathers overlapped. Then while inking, I went through a lot of trial and error figuring out where and how to place those stripes on the longest feathers, so a lot of white-out went into correcting it--so much that the stuff never dried properly so even now if I touch it, some would come off on my finger. I had to finish fixing it in Photoshop.

Anyway, this is what Falcor would look like nude ... almost--his feet just look like boots because I don't expect to ever show his feet uncovered, so I just let the detail kind of fade off. Also, his hair would probably never be slicked back like that, but in case I ever decided to do that with him, I'll know what it'd look like. Basically I just wanted a default form that I could add clothes to, so that's what this is. Will upload a clothed version once I get around to making it.
