I'm doing an ancient (1998) fan art dump today. I normally don't upload old stuff to DA, but I'm making an exception for these because (a) I know of at least one person who would want to see them and (b) there's next to no PDS fan art around, so I figured I'd contribute to that since I found these lying around recently.
It's Paet and Edge at Juba's bar. I always thought the place had a neat atmosphere with how dark it was and the glowing drinks. I tried to get realistic textures with this one--I think I even had a glass sitting in front of me as a reference.
Not sure how good the body language is, so I'll explain what I had in mind: Edge is apprehensive about drinking that glowing crud, so instead he's playing with it and watching how everything around it turns green. Paet thinks he's a wuss. (Yah right--Paet in a bar! That'd involve actually not tinkering with something mechanical for more than 5 minutes. Oh well )
Original painting is 11x17" and done in watercolor (the background is done with Prismacolor Marker).

Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
